Analog Therapy: Konica FC-1 – Hexanon 40mm f/1.8 – Fujifilm 200.
I like Konica cameras. A lot.

One I tried, appreciated, but never owned.
One I owned, appreciated, but eventually moved on from.
One was wonderfully awful, and I have held on to it.
One was so good…
…that I created a straight-faced comparison with an instathreadface darling…
…and then eventually sold the pricey one.
Had added one very nice SLR…
…and then most recently, I added another SLR that showed up at my local camera shop.
This camera and lens.
A very nice lens.

I already have a Konica SLR.
The film.
Developed with Cinestill CS41.
The occasion.
Brought it along as I went about life, and returned to a favorite spot.
The pics.
Thoughts.
Add this to a list I mentioned in a recent post about affordable film camera options.
The camera.
- Great build.
- Good looks.
- Solid ergonomics.
- Accurate auto exposure.
- I used to think I preferred aperture priority cameras, but film cameras like this have me thinking that, with limited analog ISOs, shutter priority is preferred. Being daylight, I set the camera at 1/1000s and let it rip except when I was in the shadows.
- Also easy to see the chosen f stop in the viewfinder.
- Very easy to focus.
The lens.
- Compact fpr an f/1.8 lens.
- Sharp.
- Pleasing focus fall off.
- Great colors.
- Pleasing bokeh.
Another solid SLR. Another fine fit of analog therapy.
Happy capturing.
