Analog Therapy: Konica C35 Automatic – Fujifilm 400.
The camera.
I like this camera. Why? I am glad I imagined that you asked.
- It has a rangefinder.
- It looks good.
- It feels good.
- With all this, it is also inexpensive.
It was once the smaller sibling to the decidedly more fancy pants M mount Konica Hexar RF. But that camera moved on. The C35 Automatic?
Not going anywhere.
The film.
Fujifilm 400 developed with Cinestill CS41.
The occasion.
End of the work day, and I needed to do away with a roll of film.
The pics.
Thoughts.
After this and another camera I used recently…
…one comes to mind.
One need not spend a fortune on a vintage film camera darling…
…or many hundreds for one of the three horsemen of new film cameras with a warranty…
…to have a good time and capture some fine images.
They both were picked up in the before times, so they are not as inexpensive now. But the Yashica MAT LM and Konica C35 Automatic are both still far less than any of the cameras above.
Welp. That is enough yammering for now.
Happy capturing.
