Analog Therapy/A Free To Me Roll Of Film & Odd Camera Behavior: Pentax MZ-5 – AF 50mm f/1.4 – Lomography Redscale XR.

The camera.

Pentax MZ-5

The lens.

A favorite.

Pentax Normal SMCP-FA 50mm f/1.4

The film.

A free to me from Lomography for my warranty troubles roll of Redscale XR, developed with Cinestill CS41.

The occasion.

Mostly at The Continental Club.

Happy accidents.

For the first time ever the camera went rogue and mangled some exposures.

And they are my favorite images from the roll.

Many were thrown out. Too dark. This film likes light. I did not provide and exposures were lost.

Based on my past experience and these three free rolls I must admit that Redscale is not my cup of tea. And that is alright.

Since I tossed a bunch of frames I will pad the images shared with black and white conversions which I prefer most of the time.

The pics.

Mangled images first.

Thoughts.

Yeah. I do not get it. But all the best to those that appreciate the aesthetic.

Happy capturing.
