As previously stated, a wonderful combination that is capable of wonderful results made even better, as mentioned in an earlier post, with an aesthetically appropriate metal square hood and cap and thumbs up, both by Haoge.
To complete the outfit a Kaza half case arrived fresh from Hong Kong yesterday.
A fine product. No surprise here as I have purchased their half cases before.
I was looking to accommodate my beef mitts. The thumb grip gave my thumb a home and the half case was meant to look good (of course) and give my pinky a home. Completely successful on the first point and mostly successful on the second. Have to shift my grip up a bit to fit all digits, but it provides a better fit regardless.
As I stated earlier I am no longer going to compare this combination to anything else. It is its own thing. Here are some additional images captured with its full ensemble while going about my day.
Put this camera together with aesthetic and functional accessories and a lens with (Cut and paste conclusion ahead.) qualities like build quality, on lens controls, aesthetics, compact size, great low light performance, and a fairly reasonable price and you have yourself one fine lens. So much so that it won me over even though I usually go for a slightly brighter aperture. It is a near perfect merging of all of my favorite lens attributes in a very small package.
Well done Sony.
