Have been on quite the vintage digital MFT bender recently. Decided to pivot to 35mm film on this day.
Camera? A favorite rig of mine.
For a lens, I chose the far sharper than it has any business being 7Artisans 35mm f/1.4.
This is a wonderful lens that I should really use more. I used to fall for the goofier 7Artisans 50mm f/1.1 and I have pivoted to the more buttoned-down ZEISS Planar ZM 50mm f/2 more recently, but I am blown away by the performance of this 35mm lens every time I use it.
For the film, I went with reliable, affordable Kodak Gold 200. As usual, developed at home with Cinestill CS41.
I went to a local spot I have passed by many times before and even briefly taken pictures before. A tiny slightly bemused park rather than a full on amusement park nearby. Had some odd encounters with staff. Ultimately no one had issues with me taking photos but… unfortunately, I got to know more about how people who do not think… think. Not good… Vote. Anyhoo. The photos. Somehow I made a hash of the first two frames due to user error, wildly out of focus so I am thinking I adjusted the focus when I thought I was adjusting the aperture while looking through the viewfinder, but the rest of the roll came out as usual. The Hexar RF is a rock solid rig.
Another successful analog therapy session.
