Reminiscing on another lens got me here.
I like wide lenses, including this one. But I do not use them enough to justify a repurchase of this lens and finder. That is when I typically remember that I bought this SIGMA lens for exactly this reason. Wide film photography.
This wide SIGMA has done so well in past posts that I tried it again. The film of choice this time is Fujifilm 400. As usual, it was developed at home with Cinestill CS41.
As a side note I will mention that a light leak band appears when using this camera with this lens and color film. Has not happened with this camera and a different lens. Has not happened with this lens and a different camera. Has not happened with this camera and lens using B&W film. And does not happen all the time with this camera, lens, and color film. Not sure what to make of this. There is no missing foam and the film door seems fully intact. Next time I will try and remember to put some gaffer tape on the film door hinge and keep the camera out of direct sunlight while carrying it around. Have also wondered if it is possible that light is coming in through the lens. Does not seem likely, since light should not pass by the shutter, but I have no better explanation. Just in case I will use the lens cap between pics from now on. So all that to say that there will be some light leaks in the pics below.
This camera is very consistent and every frame came out. Any misses were due to user error. Here are the pics that were taken while milling about muy local area in between mowing my folks yard and my own. Nothing Earth shattering but I like the results. And it got me out of the truck which is always good for a distraction.
