First off support your local camera shop. Mine always comes through. I had been looking for another camera when I came across this little gem. The Konica C35 Automatic.
A close cousin to another favorite.
Well hello there Konica C35 cousin to AF2. The Automatic is a fine little point and shoot rangefinder. Fun to use and produces very pleasing results. I really dig this camera.
Now the film.
A part of my Father’s Day Film haul.

What I wrote in that post.
Lomography Lomochrome Purple
Who is to blame?
Me.
Why?
Before the FOMA episode above I asked what the least expensive 35mm films were and they were the Lomography tinted triplets. As mentioned above I had already tried Lomography Lomochrome Metropolis…

…and Lomography Turquoise.

Purple seemed gimmicky but after thinking the same of Turquoise and liking it I decided to give it a shot.
Developed at home with Cinestill CS41. Photos were taken while out and about with my son which is a perfect use case for the Konica C35 Automatic. Here are the pictures followed by my thoughts.
Result?
I like it. Details? I have none. It is something a bit different. You either like it or you do not. I would not use it often, but I can see myself buying it again when I want something a bit different. Fun even. And with that, there is no need to take ones self so seriously or really worry about the result. Part of the fun is seeing what you will get.
