This should not work. But it does. And works well. Creating some amazing images with ease.
Occasionally when GAS and gear amnesia kick in I consider buying a fast lens wider that 50mm. But then I remember that I have this combination. What started as a novelty combination turned into my go to fast wide-ish FE mount prime lens solution. Not what you want for video due to the older AF tech clicking away, but perfect for stills.
So when I had to run a late night errand recently because offspring it is what I chose to carry along. Did not take many shots. Some are retakes of past shots and none are Earth shattering, but I like them. Mostly gas stations with a Waffle House thrown in.
Once again any thoughts of a more traditional lens have faded away. Cannot say that I would recommend this instead of one of the many other native FE mount lenses. But if, like me, you find yourself with either an EF or SA mount version of this lens you are one MC11 adapter away from a great stills lens.
