The title covers it. Was already having more fun than the law should allow with the A7c and Sony FE 40mm f/2.5 G so I thought I would give the High Contrast Monochrome JPEG profile I created for the 28-60mm f/4-5,6…
…a spin. Result? Success of course. Which is good. Because after one day of use with the 40mm I sold the 28-60mm… Still a great lens. Just immediately knew it would never see the front of the A7c because this 40mm would be stuck to it most of the time. Short version is that I traded a variable focal length lens for one sweet spot focal length, faster aperture, compactness while in use, a button, and some switches lens. Otherwise, I find both fairly similar IQ wise. You could say that the 28-60mm sold me on the concept of the 40mm.
Welp. Enough of that. Photos.
