Scenes Seen: Errand with my Mom/A Hooligan at the Door.

The occasion.

Some young hooligan has rung my Mother’s doorbell and ran away… twice in the last week.

I saw red if I am honest.

After conferring with my legal team, headed by my State Assistant Attorney General better half, and seconded by another attorney in my chorus it was dealt with by sharing photos and videos with the proper parties as recommended.

Some might say, “Kids will be kids.”. Me?

  1. Stay off of my Mother’s property.
    • Dad passing left me as sergeant of for my Mom and I take my post seriously.
  2. Let us be real. Reverse the demographics and what would they think?

Ok. Breathe.

Once the task was done Mom and I went to lunch/early dinner.

The camera.

The pics.

Dad’s grill at the ready. Not my bag. More specifically I am referring to standing next to an open flame for hours during a NC summer. I loved my Dad and would assist him in any way he requested and did so for years, but that is a nope for me left to my own devices.

Thoughts.

One word. Fun.

Adding another word. Capable.

Amazing when you consider the tiny package.

And that is the point.

Those things that some see as shortcomings…

  • No EVF.
  • No tilt screen.
  • No flash.
  • One focal length.
    • …for the camera. technically GR’s now come in two focal lengths. But you must choose one.

…are exactly why this camera is so great. This comes as no surprise to anyone. But it is a valid summation regardless.

I would not change a thing.

Want those other features?

Buy another camera.

Want something as capable in the smallest possible package?

Here you go.

RICOH GR

Not about pixel peeping. An experience thing. And I enjoy using this camera, and I like love the images it produces.

Happy capturing.
