I wrote a few posts about my trip to Brooklyn for World Photography Day.
A great day.
Met people who I had only seen online before.
Saw some friends I had the pleasure of meeting before.
Met new people.
Met a lot of people in person that I had only interacted with online before.

And crucially and most impressive to me… A really nice guy.
I mention Michael here because he inspired me today. This post came up in my timeline.
Wow.
All scrolling stopped as I slowly took in every image.
Taken with a RICOH GR you say.
Now… I do not possess Michael’s talent. But I do have a RICOH GR.
So I was inspired to get out and about with it to see what I could do. As mentioned on Instagram…
…being a NYC to NC transplant, living in the sticks, street photography is not really on the table. Lets call it cul-de-sac photography for now until I come up with something else.
The occasoin.
My wonderful wife was heading out to run errands and I tagged along.
Spent most of my time jibber jabbering with my better half but I did manage to work some photos in.
In other words a perfect use case for the GR.
Powerful yet subtle and inconspicuous.
In honor of Mr. Young I leaned into black and white photography.

Nothing Earth shattering. But a great time.

One word. Fun.
This camera is fun. Not a spec thing. Not about pixel peeping. An experience thing. And I enjoy using this camera, and I like the images it produces.
