I am no supply chain expert, but Fujifilm needs to sort this thing out. It is a great camera. Everyone who wants one should be able to get it. Older models should cost as much as the list price of the new one. What a mess. Hype often gets eye rolls from me, but this camera deserves every bit of praise thrown its way.
How good is it?

In a direct comparison with its bigger brother, the GFX100RF,…
…I leaned towards the X100VI.
Shot back to back with two digital medium format cameras and a a film medium format camera…
…it held its own IQ wise.
Personally, I also prefer it to the two more expensive compact all in one full frame options on the market.
Not only that it holds its own performance wise when compared to mainstream interchangeable lens full frame offerings.
- No compromise, fast, and accurate, AF performance.
- Great low light performance.
- More MP than many full frame cameras.
- Solid video specs and performance.

On last night I brought it along to chorus rehearsal.

I used the Viltrox tele adapter for the chorus rehearsal pics below.
And the tele adapter came off when I left rehearsal.

Pair it with a TTL flash and the affordable Viltrox Tele and Wide adapters…
…and you have a killer 28mm/35mm/50mm kit that could fit in a small bag or even cargo pants. It could be a complete kit for anyone that did not need any wider or longer lenses.
All for less than the price of most body only cameras.
No surprise as to why it is so popular.
