A Heck Of A Saturday; Part 3 of 3: The Afternoon First Birthday Session & The Prime Precious – <inhales sharply> Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD.
Camera.
Arguably the best camera I have ever used.
Even though I have been fanboying somewhat over some Fujifilm kit (My photography “passion” <wretch> gear.) recently, I have considered more than once switching from Sony FE to Fujifilm X for my main kit. Why? I am glad I imagined that you asked.
No good reason. That brand “loyalty” trap I mentioned recently.
And that is not a good reason at all.
What I have does everything I need it to do and more. I could point to other cameras and lenses, but this here A7C II makes a solid case for staying where I am all on its own.
- Medium format levels of MP.
- Insanely competent AF.
- I shoot RAW.
- So any color science yammering goes out the window for me with this ast generation of Sony sensors.Great colors.
- Best lens selection of any camera system.
The lens.
The precious. The lens I use when I have no idea what lies ahead of me. The lens that plays a huge part in my staying with Sony. I repeat. A Tamron lens is why I stay with Sony. I do not even own a Sony lens at this point.
Occasion.
On my way to a friend, fellow Photographer, and former fellow chorus member inviteing me to photograph a Juneteenth hike in Charlotte….

…another friend called me with a last minute photo gig on Saturday. Since an event I was supposed to sing at was cancelled… Sure.
The pics.
On the way.
No family pics. These are the feature pics.
Thoughts.
Great camera and lens.
Great family.
Good times.
Happy capturing.
