Subtitle: How Is That For A Wordy Title, Huh?

Let’s get to it.

Read this somewhere.

“Those who say go big or go home do not take into consideration how much I really like being home.”

Welp… My wife dynamited me out of my house. Her sister is in town, and they planned a trip to the beach. They were kind enough to include me. So I went. Outer Banks. Never been. Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Sheesh. What a name. Anyhoo.

Near our rental condo, there was a tower on a hill in the distance.

We had no idea what it was. If you know already…

Yes. Three folks with an engineering degree, a Master’s degree, and a JD in tow, and none had any idea that this ominously named town was the actual location of the first flight and not the neighboring town of Kitty Hawk.

Great Company.

My wife and sister in law.

So we went.

A Fascinating Talk.

A great talk was given by the guide. Seriously, it was worth the trip by itself.

Have made a similar post about digital images captured.

This time the topic is film. Medium format film, to be specific.

On to the pics. The camera.

The film.

A favorite film of mine. Kodak Gold 200.

As usual, developed at home with Cinestill CS41.

The pics.

Two little house mascots came along for the trip. One ours, the other belonging to my sister in law.

Thoughts.

As much as makes no sense, I almost always like film images better than digital. The images from the prior post are fine. But these images are more pleasing to me, especially the portraits. Two things play a large role in this.

  1. The film.Kodak Gold 200 film is a favorite of mine.
  2. The camera. The GA645 is basically flawless.

Well, that wraps things up for this post.

Happy capturing.
