Analog Therapy: A Quick Trip To The Beach, A Bistro, & Great Company.

Subtitle: How Is That For A Wordy Title, Huh?

Let’s get to it.

A Quick Trip.

Read this somewhere.

“Those who say go big or go home do not take into consideration how much I really like being home.”

Welp… My wife dynamited me out of my house. Her sister is in town, and they planned a trip to the beach. They were kind enough to include me. So I went. Outer Banks. Never been. Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Sheesh. What a name. Anyhoo.

On my second day, my wife looked up a breakfast spot.

I recommend it highly. We sampled a few things. And all of it was good, but a special mention goes to their Shrimp & Grits.

The best Shrimp & Grits I have had, not made by my wife.

The manager was great also.

Like my wife, she is also an attorney, and she, my wife, and my sister-in-law hit it off.

So. Great company.

Have made a similar post about digital images captured.

This time the topic is film. Medium format film, to be specific.

On to the pics. The camera.

The film.

A favorite of mine. CatLABS Color XFilm 100. I have been a fan since the forst roll I tried.

As usual, developed at home with Cinestill CS41.

The pics.

Thoughts.

As much as makes no sense, I almost always like film images better than digital. The images from the prior post are fine. But these images are more pleasing to me, especially the portraits. Two things play a large role in this.

  1. The film. CatLABS film is a favorite of mine for a reason.
  2. The camera. Portraits with this camera using the popup flash are phenomenal.

Well, that wraps things up for this post.

Happy capturing.
