Subtitle: Scenes seen, film edition.

The camera.

As stated in the blog title the Contax 137 MA Quartz…

Contax 137 MA Quartz

…is my personal favorite SLR. A claim I do not make lightly since there are other SLRs I rather like. Had quite a few of them. But when things got out of hand and it came time to thin the SLR herd this is a camera that was going nowhere. Never once thought of selling it.

The lens.

The 50mm f/1.7, also mentioned in the last link. A favorite lens of mine.

The film.

On my last trip to my local camera shop, Venu

GFX - Nokton 40mm f/1.2

…asked if I had tried the new Kodak Kodacolor film. I had not. This needed to be addressed.

The occasion.

Scenes seen.

Developed at home with Cinestill CS41, as usual.

Here are the pics.

Thoughts.

Venus heard that it is rebranded as Lomography 100. I doubt it. But if true, there are worse things because I rather like that film.

Pentax *ist

Regardless, I like this film.

<Cut and paste from the Kodak Kodacolor 200 review.>

Produces a clean image with little grain, good detail, and the shadows do not fall apart. No odd tone or odd color shift shenanigans or gimmicks. Just a solid image.

Welp. That is about it.

Another successful analog therapy session.

Happy capturing.
