Analog Therapy/Film Test: Flic Film Elektra 100 – Contax 137 MA Quartz – Zeiss 50mm f/1.7.

Camera.

As stated in the blog title the Contax 137 MA Quartz…

Contax 137 MA Quartz

…is my personal favorite SLR. A claim I do not make lightly since there are other SLRs I rather like. Had quite a few of them. But when things got out of hand and it came time to thin the SLR herd this is a camera that was going nowhere. Never once thought of selling it.

Film.

Have had good luck with Flic Film Aurora 800.

So I decided to give Flic Film Elektra 100 a try.

Occasion.

Burning through films I have not tried before, to distract me as I wait for the next minor obsession to arrive.

Not a lot of care was taken in capturing, developing,…

…and scanning the film. I blame being distracted. Therefore I will only share the best as I will write off the remainder of the roll as user error.

Here are my favorite images from the roll, followed by a couple of thoughts.

Thoughts.

I like this film.

Ok, that was a thought. Another.

Let’s see.

It has a nice vintage-y tone to it. Seems a good fit for an outside formal event. Has a timeless look to it.

But given the price, I would likely turn to another less expensive film for my day to day burn a roll of film here and there purposes. CatLABS X-Film Color 100 comes to mind.

That being said for the right occasion I would definitely use this film again.

Welp. That is about it.

Another successful analog therapy session.

Happy capturing.
