Rollei 35AF Preview Sample Roll/Analog Therapy: Kodak Gold 200.
This is a preview post of the Rollei 35AF. As I wait for the new arrival pixie dust to clear I will mostly stick to pictures at first. But I can say that my first impressions align with the “So…” post I wrote a while back. I will write an update after I get a few more rolls through it.
The film this go around is Kodak Gold 200. No red-tinted, sky-high ISO, low ISO, or infrared shenanigans. A solid normal film to see what this camera and lens can do. Developed at home with Cinestill CS41.
Occasion. A wrap up of my Durham run last night and show and tell at my local camera shop followed by a quick walk around afterward. I took the opportunity to test the flash also. Something I normally do not use on a film camera if I can avoid it. Worked well.
Here are the pics.
Thoughts.
I like it. I will say more about this camera in a future post, but I can say this.
- AF is spot on.
- AE is spot on.
- Flash is spot on.
- It is very fun to use and will be a tool to burn through film at an alarming rate.
That is all for now. <Psst… The review is going to be a positive one if you have not picked up on that already.>
Happy capturing.
