Rollei 35AF Preview Sample Roll/Analog Therapy: Fujifilm 400.
This is a preview post of the Rollei 35AF. As I wait for the new arrival pixie dust to clear I will mostly stick to pictures at first. But I can say that my first impressions align with the “So…” post I wrote a while back. I will write an update after I get a few more rolls through it.
The film for the day was good old reliable and affordable Fujifilm 400. No red-tinted, sky-high ISO, low ISO, or infrared shenanigans. A solid normal film to see what this camera and lens can do. Developed at home with Cinestill CS41.
Occasion. A gear test run/analog therapy/world event distraction jamboree. A stop by Duke Gardens, a run through downtown Durham capped off with a visit to one of my favorite restaurants.
Here are the pics.
Thoughts.
I like it. I will say more about this camera in a future post, but I can say two things.
- AF is spot on.
- AE is spot on.
- It is very fun to use and will be a tool to burn through film at an alarming rate.
That is all for now.
Happy capturing.
