Analog Therapy: Kodak Gold 200 – Konica Hexar RF – Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2.

Have already confirmed that this lens performs well on native digital. It was great. The main aim of this post was to confirm what I believed to be true. That this lens performs as well with film.

Spoiler alert. It does. No surprise there.

What is surprising, but maybe should not be, is that this may be my favorite M lens ever. I am getting ahead of myself. WIll come back to this after the sample images.

Camera? A favorite rig of mine.

For the film, I went with reliable, affordable Kodak Gold 200. As usual, developed at home with Cinestill CS41.

I went to a local very small downtown area. The photos.

So… this lens and camera. This film with this lens and camera. Can they be too good?

What am I on about?

Sometimes film photos are so “good” they look like digital images to me.

That applies to most of the images above. While I am happy with the results I may have well taken them with a digital M.

From here forward I will use more unique films with this combination to distinguish the resulting images.

Nonsense. Yes. But that is where I have landed.

One thing that I cannot deny. This was another successful analog therapy session.
