Recently wrote a post about using photography to cope, get out of the house, and get out of the car.
The chosen tool of the day is one of the affordable and capable little cameras that I have ever come across.
Paired it with a great lens.
A pairing far better than it has any business being.
This time I am testing a film that I thought I had tried if I am honest. But after looking through my archives I had not. So I fixed that. Cinestill 800T. I figured that the 800T high ISO and artificial light friendliness would team well with the stellar AF and exposure control of the *ist. with As usual, developed with Cinestill CS41.
Was documenting a night out at the movies with my daughter. She wanted to see Barbie so we went to see Barbie. Good movie but better memories. Hit one hiccup. As mentioned in a recent post the film jammed at exposure 27. As also mentioned in that post I got the film out of the camera and into a daylight tank, but the TCS1000 called it a day so I could not develop the film. Well, the new replacement from Cinestill arrived…

…so we were back in business. Here are the surviving images that I chose to share.
Thoughts on the film? I like it. Performed as expected. Interesting low light photos under artificial light. Nice.
