As I often mention photography is therapeutic for me. A requirement of photography is finding a subject. Occasionally you stumble upon an interesting place. One of those places for me when my office was in Chapel HIll was a store called Night Gallery. Stumbled upon it in a local mall while on lunch break and I would return from time to time to capture images of their interesting offerings. Even purchased a massive “W” that sits at the front of our house today from there. Well I just read that the owner is retiring and the store is closing as a result. While I am happy for anyone who retires I am saddened a bit that there will no longer be any visits to the Night Gallery. I am glad I took these photos when I did. I am reminded that if there is something I want to capture I should get on with it. May not be there tomorrow.
One more of a mural outside by artist Michael Brown.
