RNF – History is kind to what is profound whether it was popular at the time or not. -ELW

One need not be dismayed by the current manifestation of modern entertainment media. I can point to a great amount of tripe (whether heard, viewed, or read) in my younger years that, even back then, left me lamenting the future state of what I would be reminiscing upon in my later years. Tripe fades away, but talent lives on. Most important is remembering that popular and profound are not synonymous, and while not necessarily mutually exclusive history is only kind to the latter whether it contains any shred of the former or not. -ELW
