Analog Therapy/Appreciating Local Music History: Yashica MAT LM + CatLABS X Film 320.
The occasion.
The usual. Burning through a roll of film for therapeutic purposes.
The location.
A local statue honoring Black Music History and Tradition came to mind. After my son and I visited my Mom for a bit, we took a spin by the statue. Decided to dedicate every frame of the roll to the statue.
“Born in 1918 in Orange County, Thompson lived most of his life in the town of Mebane. He was the fifth son of farmer John Arch Thompson, a fiddler who had learned music as an oral tradition handed down through generations. Young Joe grew up watching his father play with his uncle Walter, and he was playing in the family act himself by his teenage years. The style was “Frolic,” square-dance music played at house parties and family gatherings.”

Fiddler Joe Thompson’s musical legacy remains very much alive

The camera.
Brought out an old favorite.
Even scored a snazzy case for it.
A good looking bona fide bargain capable of great results.
The film.
A favorite of mine. CatLABS X Film 320.
Shot at ISO 100, which I have found plays better with Cinestill df96.
…developed at home with Cinestill df96.
The pics.
Thoughts.
All 12 exposures came out. With an accidental double exposure that I really like. Nice.
Another successful analog therapy run.
Happy capturing.
