Scenes Seen/Before & After A Headshot Session: GFX + ROKKOR 58mm f/1.2.
The motivation.
Photography as a distraction. Much needed nowadays. And documenting a trip to a headshot session.
The travel rig.
Officially an all-time favorite.
So much so that, whether the situation fits or not, it is what I would prefer to use. And when used within the realm of realistic expectations, it never disappoints. More on this will be outlined below.
The photos.
My wife and I are trying out a new breakfast themed restaurant.
On the way to the session.
Arrived at the client’s house. Went very well. Here is the text from a FB post.
…have met some amazing folks through photography. Did headshots at their home for the Father of a person I did PhD graduation photos for last year. It was for a speaking engagement on entrepreneurship at a college he has coming up soon. No punchline. No surprises. A much needed bright spot in the midst of the chaos blasted at us non stop. We had a great time talking about life, family, careers, music, and more. Learned he has long owned a major chain. A cool brother. All courtesy of photography. The hobby my Father gifted me as a child. Nice. In addition to being a means of distraction and analog therapy, photography inspires me to find beauty and light hiding in plain sight in the midst of misery and the mundane.
The headshot kit.
And here is one of my favorite photos from the session.
On the way home. Back to the GF.
Thoughts.
This post ties in with my last post…
…where I discuss different gear for different purposes.
A great day, A great time.
Happy capturing.
