Good Busy: An Evening Of Music & Serendipity w/ Chris Robinson, Dr. Michael Roberto, Nishah @nishahmusic , & Von @singvonnewman . @prestonwilesphotography @continental_clubgso
Subtitle: Two Bridge Photos Reunited.
Courtesy of Preston Wiles,…
…I have a warm spot for The Continental Club. He invited me to have my first-ever photography exhibit in their art space.
Preston invited me to participate in another show where he insisted I put the photos up for sale….
And one sold. My first sale ever.
To Dr. Roberto. Who is also a fantastic musician. Have gone to support his performances at The Continental Club.
The serendipity part.
There were more than one instance of this.
Number 1.
When I arrived, Preston informed me that I had left a photo behind from my last show.
Cool.
I immediately knew what to do.
- Dr. Roberto bought the other.
- Dr. Roberto was there that night.
- I am exceedingly appreciative of his support for my work.
- This must be put in his possession.
- So I presented it to him.
He shared that the first is mounted on his wall, and this one will join it.
Number 2.
Started like this. Hey… I have seen that singer before.
A while ago, the chorus I sing with (100 Men In Black Male Chorus Ensemble)…
…participated in a Celebration of Black Music organized by Ernest Turner.
An immensely talented musician. At that event, there was an awesome vocalist. Nishah.
Cool.
Serendity out of the way onto the image capturing.
The rig.
A favorite combination.
A couple Yashica CY 135mm f/2.8 pics…
…and one Yashica CY 28mm f/2.8 pic made it in there,…
…but the ROKKOR 58mm f/1.2…
…was the star of the show.
Manual focus for moving subjects? No problem at all with Fujifilm’s excellent manual focusing aid.
The pics.
Thoughts.
Great venue.
Great event.
Great music.
Great people.
A proper photography therapy session.
Happy capturing.
