Third Roll: @Lomography MC-A – Arista EDU 200. #lomographymca
Subtitle: This Time B&W.
I talked this camera up a lot in my first post.
And even more in my second post.
It is well deserved.
Barring some manner of unforeseen circumstance, I do not see this changing.
This post? The main focus will be trying my first roll of N&W film.
The film.
The location.
A local downtown. Durham or Bull City as it is often called.
The pics.
One pic was taken at Duke Gardens after I finished the last roll I posted about.
On to Bull City.
These waves? User error, I am sure. Why? Not a 100% sure. But I made two missteps.
- I forgot this was a 24 exposure roll and kept winding, which caused tension that ripped the film.
- This tearing of the film is what caused the double exposure below.
- When ready to develop the film I made a few attempts to pull the film lead out with a puller. After no success I noticed the film seemed to have bunched up in the canister and this was confirmed when I eventually opened the film canister in the dark bag.
Moving on.
Thoughts.
Again. I have a mess of them.
But I will close this post here and follow up on them in future posts.
For this post, I will just add that this camera seems to squeeze a lot of frames out of a roll of film. This was a 24-roll of film. And even with me trying my best to make a mess of it at times, I managed to get 26 exposures.
What a great camera.
A proper analog therapy distraction from the world being on fire.
If this camera interests you, check back as I expect there will be many more posts to come.
Happy capturing.
-ELW
