Real Estate Session Take 2: Viltrox AF 14mm f/4 Air FE.
Subtitle: Photography is a constant learning process.
A great couple who are also an entrepreneurial team have hired me for vehicle work for their car leasing enterprise.
That outing allowed me to practice using a circular polarizing filter to counteract reflections. I was happy with the result, but more importantly, the customers were happy with the end result.
Based on that experience, they reached out to me about another venture of theirs. Real estate photos for a rental property.
Cool.
Has been a while, but I was asked to take real estate photos before.
First thing I did was to check out what classes were available on YouTube U. Found a few videos. This one was most helpful.
My main takeaways.
- Learn bracketing.
- Balances internal and external lighting.
- And I did.
- Set up bracketing in camera for the first time (-2, 0, +2).
- Merging was pretty easy in Lightroom Classic. <Right Click> -> Photo Merge… -> HDR
- Use a tripod.
- Set a 2 second to eliminate camera shake.
- Raise the camera in kitchens so you do not see the bottom of the cabinets.
- Use a wide angle lens.
The lens.
Perfect for this purpose.
- Rectlinear.
- Sharp.
A perfect lens for this effort.
More info in the video above.
And once again, I was happy with the results and so was the couple.
Here are a few of the pics.
Thoughts.
Great people. I really appreciate repeat customers
Great lens. And a great value.
Happy capturing.
