Scenes Seen, A Concert, & A Special Lens: Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD.
My wife and I stepped out for a bit.
Went to a favorite food spot of ours.

And there was a pleasant surprise. A free concert by Duke Arts with Dior Ashley Brown, the Hip Hop Polymath.
Have recently discussed with a fellow photographer that I would never consider leaving Sony. But it has less to do with Sony and it is more about a lens. This lens. The precious.
A lens that displaced two prior favorite lenses…
…and has not put a foot wrong since. Performs flawlessly, no matter what I throw at it.
Events.
Portraits.
Weddings.
Vehicles.
…I like this lens… Back to the task at hand.
While I thoroughly enjoy this lens, I tend not to use it on the regular. A few reasons.
- Quite reasonable compared to two camera bodies and lenses, but a bit heavy for everyday.
- A very practical and great performer, and I tend to gravitate to odd on my own time.
- Preservation. I need the lens, so I would prefer not to risk a drop/damage.
But on this day, I was led to bring it with me. And I was rewarded with the perfect use case. I have more samples from before and after the concert below. Here are the performance pics.
And now the other photos from the day. Before…
…and after. A local Korean market.
Then I stopped by for pics of a Rolls at a local lot.
Thoughts.
This lens is cuss word awesome. Confirms once again why I will be staying with Sony. Tamron makes this lens for Nikon as well… But I already have a camera, so that is pointless. And reasonably priced as well. Especially considering such great performance and flexibility.
Boricua Soul is highly recommended.
Dior Ashley Brown is an exceptional live performer. A great talent.
And most importantly… My wife is awesome. She actually encourages my photography foolishness.
Happy capturing.
