Good Busy On A Saturday; Part 3 of 3: An Evening Of Jazz w/ Dr. Michael Roberto & The Pathfinders.
Subtitle 1: Two part father and son galavanting.
Subtitle 2: Supporting An Artist That Supported My Art.
I recently wrote about meeting Dr. Michael Roberto.
That night I went to support one artist…
…that supported by first exhibit…
…by assisting in hanging my photos.

…and ran into a retired NCA&T history professor, author, and musician who purchased the first work I ever sold…
..at my second ever exhibit in the same art space. The Continental Club in Greensboro, NC. Curated and managed by Preston Wiles.
Let me set the scene.
Turns out Dr. Roberto is a musician and had a performance coming up in the same venue.
So, my son and I came out to show our support.
Ok. Housekeeping done. Let’s go.
Used a mixed bag of gear.
First up. Most, if not all, were taken with a new favorite acquisition that also happens to be a heck of a bargain.
Thus affixed to the little gem.
Here are the images.
Next up, the big kahuna.
Two lenses were at play. The always awesome GF 80mm f/1.7 some other letters after that…
…and my personal favorite rangefinder lens adapted.
Here are those pics.
Performance done, I snapped a few more pics with the GFX/40mm.
The music.
They were phenomenal. I took some video as well. Here is the closing number in three parts.
Thoughts.
A perfect capper to a wonderful day.
Happy capturing.
