Subtitle: We are only interested in actual history, not the misshapen machinations of malice addled minds.

A pre pandemic group portrait I took when we were larger in number.

…arranged a trip to The International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro, NC. The very site of a pivotal 1960 lunch counter sit-in started by four NCA&T college students. Not only was the lunch counter desegregated by their efforts it also sparked a wave of sit-ins across the country. If you have a chance to visit, please do so. It is the physical embodiment of crucial elements of this nation’s history that many are working so hard to erase.

I could go on endlessly about that, so I will move on to the photos.

Understandably, photos during the tour are not allowed, so into my side pants pocket the camera went.

After the tour, we took a group photo and I took some pics outside of the museum.

One of my favorite things about the X100VI is that it is an easy camera to set up and hand over to others. Here, a fellow chorus member’s wife did a great job capturing the group.

Thoughts.

About cameras?

Not a thing.

The tour was a struggle. Being necessary does not make it easy. These are lessons everyone needs to learn and should not be ignored. As the saying goes (paraphrased), history ignored is history repeated.

And NONE of this should be repeated.

Happy capturing.
