Third Time Developing Slide Film: Unicolor EZ – E6/Kodak E100… 120 This Time.
Subtitle: If It Were Not So Expensive, I Would Use Slide Film Much More.
The first time was a bit wobbly.
The second time around, I said:
Now this is what slide film is supposed to look like.
At the end of that post, I said:
Next up. To try it with 120 film and I need to find some manner of photo session worthy of the film expense.
I stayed true to the 120 film part. I did not have the patience to wait for a photo session.
And just wow.
I covered the experience of developing slide film in those earlier posts. I think I have got the hang of it now. Add to that the added real estate of 120 film put through my all time favorite film camera…
…and I expected even better. And it delivered.
I had to give my daughter a ride since her car is in the shop, so she rode with as I meandered around killing a roll of Kodak E100. A bit of daughter and dad galavanting. Great company. Later developed at home with Unicolor EZ – E6 kit and scanned.
I missed focus with one photo. User error. Here are the remaining 15 frames.
The pic above is a retake of the pic below that was pushed two stops. Since it did not have the slide film look I expected, I wanted to use slide film at the proper ISO to confirm that using a different ISO was the issue, not the developing process. Well, I consider that as confirmation that the 2 stop push was the issue.
Back to the subject at hand. The remaining pics.
Thoughts.
This is exactly why I wanted to develop slide film for myself. Simplifying and lessening the cost.
Now… to find a proper photo session next time.
That is all for now.
Happy capturing.
