Analog Therapy: Burning Through A Roll Of Kentmere Pan 200.

I took a mess of photos over the weekend. Film and digital. Have posted about many already in this space.

I am not even going to hypothesize on why an unexpected pic was the most liked on Lomography’s website. It was taken in an effort to finish a roll of film run through a favorite camera…

Fujifilm GA645 Professional

…after I had taken two portraits…

…at the close of an event…

…and wanted to develop the film when I got home. Had I not made myself do this now this film could have sat in this camera for days as I looked for a “proper setting”. Nope. Charge! We are going to get through this roll before I get home. My chosen path took me through downtown Raleigh as a protest rally was winding down.

I had not initially planned to post these pics here. But Lomography always surprises me. Have talked about that before, and it happened again. Out of two rolls of film shot on Saturday the most liked pic was one I had not expected. Not from the low rider show,…

…but pics taken in haste. And here they are.

The pic that got the most likes.

And the rest that came in not far behind it.

I also find it interesting that pics garner different interest in different spaces. Pics liked in one may not get any reaction in other spaces. This has taught me a few things.

  • Do not try and predict what will speak to others. Post it.
  • Not all pictures need to be taken with intent.
  • Pics need not be technically perfect to resonate with others.

Welp. That is all for now.

Happy Capturing.
