Scenes Seen: Dad Duty Project Exhibit & Talk.
I saw an event by Chris Facey that was right up my alley.

Count me in. Chris is a solid dude with a great project. It was a wonderful part of a wonderful day full of family, friends, and photography. A car show,…
…then brunch with my family to celebrate Father’s Day early, and then this exhibit and talk.
The gear for the day was partially chosen in honor of Fujifilm user Chris Facey.
And partially because I love this pairing. There is a post rolling around in my head that I approcach with caution. That is because it might upset some adherents of a brand that rhymes with Micah, but:
- I come in peace.
- This is all personal preference and is not meant to second guess any else’s chosen gear.
That preference is that I prefer the GFX 100S to the Leica M Type 240…
…I traded towards it. Which was a great relief. But more on that later.
This here post is about the photo exhibit and talk. I have been trying to limit what gear I bring and use. This is to lighten my load and simplify the shooting process. The photos.
As the event wrapped up I broke out my grown up portrait lens…
…and flash and took some pics of Chris.
Analog bonus round.
Grabbed a couple of medium format film pics as we wrapped up. Kentmere Pan 200 run through a Fujifilm GA645.
Thoughts.
I can think of no better way to honot my Father on Father’s Day weekend. He taught me photography. He was a car nut. He was a great Father.
Happy capturing.
