Scenes Seen: A Low Rider Show – Digital Edit.

I was sent a flyer for a car show near me. I have been to a few now, courtesy of a regular heads up from Cesar.

This one was easy. One town over. Saw some of the same cars. Saw some I had not seen before. My daughter joined in. It was a wonderful part of a wonderful day full of family, friends, and photography. A car show, then brunch with my family to celebrate Father’s Day early, and then an exhibit and talk by Chris Facey…

The gear for the day was partially chosen in honor of Fujifilm user Chris Facey.

And partially because I love this pairing. There is a post rolling around in my head that I approcach with caution. That is because it might upset some adherents of a brand that rhymes with Micah, but:

  1. I come in peace.
  2. This is all personal preference and is not meant to second guess any else’s chosen gear.

That preference is that I prefer the GFX 100S to the Leica M Type 240…

…I traded towards it. Which was a great relief. But more on that later.

This here post is about the Low Rider Car Show. Lately, I have been trying to limit what gear I bring and use. This is to lighten my load and simplify the shooting process. The photos.

Thoughts.

I can think of no better way to honot my Father on Father’s Day weekend. He taught me photography. He was a car nut. He was a great Father.
