Scenes Seen: GFX + Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2.
Subtitle: Adapted M lens goodness.
I have been writing about modern camera tech surpassing my use case.
Wrote about a perfectly sensible interchangeable lens solution I like.
Wrote another of many posts about a favorite daily carry solution.
After all of this modern camera talk and use of modern luxuries like AF, I needed a rangefinder lens fix. Yes, I did let go of my rangefinder camera. Had my fun,…
…but I found a new rig to put behind this wonderful lens. A lens that regularly creates images that drop my jaw.
So even though the Leica went away, this lens was not going anywhere. I wrote a post about using it on a GFX body.
All of those cameras listed above have something in common. Tools to use to capture images on my own time when capturing images is not the main thing. But when I am on my own or out with others,…
…and image capturing is the main thing I prefer a solution like this one. Here are images taken locally out and about while looking to clear my head.
Thoughts.
<To close out, I offer a cut and paste from the past post.> To secure a GFX body, I let go of a lot of kit. The one piece that I was concerned I would regret letting go of after the GF haze cleared was the Leica M Type 240. Mainly for putting behind two particular M lenses I had grown attached to. But with its effective manual focus aids…
…and staggering image quality with native GF lenses…
…I did not need to worry. I am good.
Well done FUJIFILM. <End cut and paste.>
Well done, Voigtlander, also.
Happy capturing.
