Scenes Seen: GFX + Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2.

Subtitle: Adapted M lens goodness.

I have moved past the sledgehammer to drive in a thumbtack thing. It is simply this. While not necessary I prefer medium format and I have found two solutions that I have been fortunate enough to obtain that meet my needs. No more. No less.

This post here is about a lens that regularly creates images that drop my jaw, no matter what camera I put in front of it.

GFX

I wrote a post about using it on a GFX body. Want to read it? Here it go.

Nothing Earth shattering. These are scenes I have captured before. Here are photos killing time while out and about picking up food yesterday.

Thoughts.

To secure a GFX body I let go of a lot of kit. The one piece that I was concerned I would regret letting go of after the GF haze cleared was the Leica M Type 240. Mainly for putting behind two particular M lenses I had grown attached to. But with its effective manual focus aids…

GFX

…and staggering image quality with native GF lenses…

…I did not need to worry. I am good.

Well done FUJIFILM.

Happy capturing.
