Scenes Seen/Vintage Digital/A Fine Film Companion: Lumix DMC G7.
Went to kill a roll of film.
Brought this along…
…in case I did not want to start a second roll of film. And I did not. That simple.
Here are the pics with some quick thoughts after.
Thoughts.
I really like this lens.
It has exactly one thing missing. It does not work with AF-C (continuous AF). That is it. A curiosity when I first started using it I have learned to forgive the oversight. It does everything else so well I forgive it. In a way this limitation forces me to use MFT cameras as I first intended. As a film camera alternative that slows me down. I would have never expected a lens so small to perform so well image quality wise. I have not a single complaint in that regard.
And yes, I like the camera also. The G7 has been my digital companion since it arrived.
Combined, they confirm what I have been saying for a while. Pretty much any camera made in the least few years will do for day to day use. And they could be used for “real” work in a pinch if I wanted to. Nice.
That is about it.
Happy capturing.
