My First Ever Exhibit Opening September 20. 100 Men In Black: Voice In Pictures.

I am very excited about this. And if you know me that is a big thing. There is a reason I was called Spock by some in middle school.
The organizer, Preston, graciously offered me the entire Art Mongerz space in the Continental Club but I chose to start slow with one wall. I selected a few of my favorite behind the scenes photos of my time singing with 100 Men In Black Male chorus led by Marlon West and based in Durham, NC but I have many more to share. I also have a few other bodies of work I am looking forward to showing in the future as well as work I have yet to capture.
My pitch for this exhibition:
The goal is so Black men can be seen in quiet moments of dignity, camaraderie, and laughter in
a world that often seems intent on portraying them in the worst possible light. Not only for Black
men to view themselves positively but so that others can witness these unguarded moments
and perhaps see something they can relate to regardless of their background.
That is all for now. I will update this space with any new information.
Happy capturing.
