On the same night that I took photos in a “Need vs. Want: Micro Four Thirds Holding It Down.” post I also brought along the Pentax 17.
This was a do over. I wrote a post about a less than optimal outing with my choir on a movie set using this camera and another 3200 film. Bottom line grain was not my friend and few photos were to my liking.
My fault. No blame can be placed on the camera or film. My theory was that a large part of the issue was using the film at 3200 instead of 1600. So I adjusted and I am much happier with the results this time around. There was a lot of experimenting with modes and such. I will also say that I managed to accidentally nudge the mode dial more times that I would like to admit. But instead of being precious with the frames I shot many test pics using different modes and focus distances. It is nice having 72 exposures at your disposal. Below are the keepers. As usual, I developed the film with Cinestill df96.
Another successful analog therapy outing. That is about it.
Happy capturing.
