As the title states this post is about the goal, not the devices.
On different days I was led to bring along a different image capturing device. Instead of making gear-centric posts with each digital selection here, I will bring them together as they all were in pursuit of the same aim.
Documenting day to day life while looking for beauty hiding in plain sight masquerading as the mundane.
While not always, or even often, successful I find this an enjoyable pursuit nonetheless. Here are the images free of any gear ramblings.
Parting thoughts.
I have nothing against gear posts. For me, it was a means of documenting my gear selection efforts. But I have now tried nearly everything I have wanted to try. Digital and film. I will likely continue documenting film gear used in my analog therapy posts because it seems more relevant there. There can be a wildly different experience from film camera to film camera. As mentioned recently I have had film that seems to work better with different cameras. But whether rangefinder, DSLR, or mirrorless I find digital output to be kind of samey when compared to film. Vintage digital and Foveon Therapy posts may still be a thing. May fold them into the Scenes Seen theme instead. As far as digital gear goes I will leave brand name, sensor format, and other arguments to others. I am strictly team whatever floats your boat and get on just fine with any of them. So, I will mention digital gear used in the future, I am sure, but it will no longer be my main focus.
Happy capturing.
