Will keep this one brief. Will mention the camera, lens, and film followed by pics and some closing thoughts. A favorite camera and lens.
Camera and Lens
A while back I wrote a post saying this was my favorite analog camera system in a blog post I wrote for KEH Spotlight. I still stand by this.
Film
For the film, I used Rollei RPX 400 developed at home with Cinestill df96.
Scanning sidebar: Had noticed that my black and white scans had an odd blotchiness to them in the past. I had someone notice this in my scans and asked if I used Digital ICE Technology and my answer was yes. He then kindly let me know that he had noticed the same with his scans and that ICE technology was the cause. Works great with color, but not so much with black and white. I then sincerely thanked him. These are my first scans since then and as I suspected he was 100% right.
Pics
On to the photos. Nothing Earth shattering. Pics while out and about.
Thoughts
This roll was a struggle. Not sure why. After weeks of running through rolls of film like a hot knife through butter recently this roll went with me unexposed for a week or more. Nothing inspired me to lift the camera up and take an exposure. Not sure why. So I finally just forced myself to muscle through. If I retake a pic so be it. But I needed to get through this roll. Then that night I did not even develop the film right away as usual. Then I developed it and scanned the negatives. Waited longer than usual to edit the images. And I am glad I made myself go through the roll. In retrospect, it was a fine bit of analog therapy.
Happy capturing.
