I traveled today. Further than I have in a little while. Paid my respects to a friend and co-worker’s family member in a neighboring state. Least I could do. Witnessed a touching farewell.
A funeral can kick up some emotional dust so I brought along some image capturing friends to distract me.
Have developed the film for the EOS A2 and once the negatives are scanned I will post a part 2 about it. That post will include other images captured earlier in the week. Have been using medium format film for the last few weeks. After being accustomed to blasting through 15 exposures at a time recently 36 took a few days. Anyhoo. More on that soon. This here post is about the digital sibling and a favorite lens.
Will keep this brief. They served their purpose. The journey took me through some rural scenes in SC. Reminded me of my family’s homestead in NC. I took in the scenes real time most of the day with no camera in play, took more exposures with the film A2, but I did manage a few digital captures. And as has been the norm the 5d did not disappoint. Here are the surviving digital images from the day.
Bonus pic. Saw a Porsche 944 on a trailer so I took a picture of that Porsche 944.
Nothing Earth shattering, but I like them. And more importantly, mission distraction accomplished.
Happy capturing.
