If my goal was to burn through 120 film at an unprecedented pace the GA645 has been a roaring success.
That is a good result.
But another result I am not as keen on with this camera is a sudden onset of self owns. I cannot blame the camera. But in the last few rolls I have left the dowel out of a daylight tank, absentmindedly opened the back briefly while loaded when taking product photos of the camera, and have forgotten to change the ISO when loading a new roll of film. Have felt no great loss due to my not liking the film I was using with the first, lost no frames with the second, and lost a few frames with the latter. So, all in no great loss. I suppose it may have to do with how happy I am with the camera distracting me… but I am not sure. I will have to pay more attention moving forward.
This post deals with the instance above where I opened the back. Lost frames due to opening the back, some were less than ideal framing by your truly, and here are the remaining pics that I took while my son and I were galavanting today.
Wanted to give a favorite black and white film a spin, Rollei RPX 400, and it was developed with Cinestill df96.
Lesson learned. Got a few exposures I like. And most importantly I spent some quality time with my son. A good result.
Happy capturing.
