The blog post title sums it up. Ok, a little more.

As has been covered in this space before I really like this camera and lens.

Even went so far as to cheer on rumors of a full-frame Foveon camera which will likely do my budget no favors. It does bring with it challenges.

  • Slow in general.
  • High ISO is not welcome here.

But for me, the images they can produce far outweigh those challenges.

  • Stunning IQ.
  • Great sharpness.
  • Creates great colors with good light.
  • Creates amazing monochrome DNG files full of tonal shifts and detail.

I find these Foveon sensor cameras very therapeutic in use.

Ok. Enough of that here are the images. They were taken going about life.

Wrap up.

Quattro as a sensible choice? Still no. As I always say, there are many more practical options on the market. But I will continue hanging out with these oddballs just the same.
